Søren Pape Poulsen, the leader of Denmark's Conservative People's Party and former Minister of Justice, has tragically passed away at the age of 52, following a sudden brain hemorrhage.
The incident occurred during a party board meeting in Odense, leading to his immediate hospitalization where he later died.
Prior to leading the party in 2014, he served as the mayor of Viborg and was the Minister of Justice from 2016 to 2019 in Lars Løkke Rasmussen's government.
Tributes have poured in, including from Sweden's Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, expressing condolences and appreciation for Poulsen's cooperation and contributions.
