Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen was attacked and struck by a man in central Copenhagen, according to reports by Ritzau.
The incident occurred at Kultorvet Square, and the assailant has been arrested.
A spokesperson for the government mentioned that Frederiksen is shocked by the incident but did not offer further comments.
Danish and Swedish politicians have condemned the attack, with Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billström calling it "completely horrible" and demanding the strongest condemnation.
