The Karolinska University Hospital has faced significant whistleblowing accusations following the dismissal of obstetrician Karin Pettersson.
A report by law firm Mannheimer Swartling investigated allegations of conflicts of interest and mismanagement but found no formal wrongdoing.
However, the report criticized the hospital for procedural flaws in whistleblower handling and employment matters, revealing a deep trust crisis within the organization.
Acting hospital director Patrik Rossi acknowledged the report's findings and emphasized ongoing efforts to rebuild trust and improve work conditions.
