A carousel accident at Kristianstad's city festival has raised serious safety concerns after a three-year-old girl was injured.

The incident occurred when a ride from Axels Tivoli, known as the "Desert Show," overturned while at its peak height of about one meter.

Witnesses reported that the ride's staff failed to act, leaving the girl's father to rescue her.

The child was taken to a medical tent and is reportedly in stable condition.

Police have launched an investigation to determine whether the accident was due to negligence or a mechanical failure.

This incident follows a previous fatal accident involving the same amusement company earlier this summer, intensifying scrutiny over their safety protocols.
