The bear population in Jämtland has decreased, leading to a reduced hunting quota this year.
Only 121 bears are allowed to be hunted, down from 185 last year and 220 the year before.
The local authorities state that the goal for the bear population is almost reached, aiming for 650 bears to avoid disruptions to reindeer herding.
Despite the reduced quota, the hunting zones will remain the same as last year.
