Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Sweden as part of a European tour to garner support for his war-torn country.
During his visit, he signed a new bilateral security agreement with Sweden, which will now provide at least 105 billion SEK in support to Ukraine by 2026. Zelenskyy emphasized the need for Ukrainian pilots to train on Sweden's Gripen fighter jets immediately, given the lengthy integration process.
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson reiterated that backing Ukraine sends a strong message to Russia that the West will not relent.
Additionally, Zelenskyy called for the rapid provision of Patriot air defense systems to counter Russian aerial threats.
