Charlie Weimers, a top figure in Sweden Democrats (SD), expressed openness to collaborating with pro-Russian right-wing parties within the EU.

This comes as the European People's Party (EPP) considers new right-wing alliances.

Weimers argued that cooperation is essential for addressing issues like border protection, climate, energy, migration, and terrorism.

Meanwhile, Weimers and SD leader Jimmie Åkesson emphasized the local impact of EU decisions during a rally in Karlstad.
