In a striking display of international military cooperation, American B-1B Lancer and B-52 Stratofortress bombers, escorted by Swedish JAS 39 Gripen fighters, flew over Stockholm and Uppsala as part of a joint exercise between Sweden and the United States.

This rare spectacle, which occurred during lunchtime, aimed to demonstrate the two nations' capabilities in defending Swedish territory together.

According to Louise Levin, the communication chief at the Swedish Air Force Command, the operation was conducted at a relatively low altitude of approximately 900 meters, significantly lower than usual, to ensure visibility and showcase the collaborative effort.

The flyover is part of a long-planned joint military exercise, stressing the importance of Sweden's defense and its cooperation with international partners, ultimately connecting to the larger NATO exercise, Nordic Response.
