A 15-year-old boy was arrested outside the Spy Bar nightclub in Stockholm, suspected of preparing to commit murder.

The arrest took place over the weekend when police, conducting routine checks outside the club, discovered the teenager carrying an automatic weapon.

According to the prosecutor's office, the boy is suspected of planning to shoot a person linked to gang activities.

His lawyer, Marcus Lodin, confirmed the arrest but declined to comment on the boy's stance regarding the charges.

The police are investigating whether a detention hearing will be necessary.
