During a tumultuous confrontation in Jönköping, Sweden, a police officer was critically injured and another officer shot the suspect.

The incident occurred when police responded to a call about a disruptive man armed with a sharp weapon.

The man is now under suspicion for attempted murder.

As routine when a service weapon is discharged, an investigation for misconduct has been initiated.
