The Swedish parliament has approved the Defence Cooperation Agreement (DCA) with the U.
S., allowing American military access to 17 bases in Sweden, including Kristinehamn.
This 30-page agreement aims to strengthen military cooperation and enable quicker deployment of U.
S. forces in Sweden.
Critics are concerned about the absence of explicit anti-nuclear provisions and the application of American laws to U.
S. troops on Swedish soil.
Despite opposition from the Green and Left parties, the agreement was passed with 266 votes in favor and 37 against.
The Swedish government assures that the country's non-nuclear stance will be maintained.
