Swedish astronaut Marcus Wandt, 43, has successfully docked at the International Space Station (ISS) after a journey of approximately one and a half days aboard the spacecraft Dragon.
Wandt, who hails from Mora, Sweden, embarked on his journey from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The SpaceX rocket landed at the ISS on Saturday, marking the beginning of two weeks of experiments.
Wandt, alongside Walter Villadei from Italy, Alper Gezeravci – the first Turk in space, and commander Michael López-Alegría, an American-Algerian, all former pilots, make up the crew.
Wandt is the third Swede to go to space, following Christer Fuglesang and Swedish-American Jessica Meir.
