A new government proposal in Sweden aims to ensure that all students have access to staffed school libraries.
This initiative addresses the current lack of access, as more than half of Swedish students miss out on this resource.
Education Minister Lotta Edholm emphasized the need for various avenues to engage students in reading.
However, the proposal lacks detailed specifications on staffing hours, raising concerns from the workers' union DIK.
The changes are set to be implemented by July 1, 2025.
