Sweden plans to introduce a digital identity wallet to enhance e-identification security.

This new system will allow people to store and access their driver's licenses and other certificates digitally.

The digital wallet will be optional and free for individuals, ensuring no one is excluded from accessing services.

The proposed implementation date is October 2025, with usage beginning a year later.
