Sweden is bracing for a severe cold wave as arctic weather is set to sweep across the country.
Meteorologists predict temperatures to dip as low as -35 degrees Celsius in Northern Sweden, and expect the cold to persist.
Southern parts of the country will also experience chillier conditions, with temperatures dropping to between -10 and -18 degrees Celsius.
The change in weather is likely to cause traffic disruptions due to slippery roads and is expected to result in an unusually cold January.
This marks the fourth consecutive month of colder than average temperatures across the country.
