In a recent voter survey, the Sweden Democrats (SD) have experienced a significant decline, dropping by 2.6 percentage points to 17.5% in August.
This comes as a blow to the party, especially with their leader Jimmie Åkesson set to deliver his summer speech in Sölvesborg.
Meanwhile, the Social Democrats (S) have surged ahead, gaining 3.6 percentage points to lead with 34.2%, while the Moderates (M) also saw an increase, reaching 19.7%.
The decline in SD's support is attributed to internal chaos and controversies, including revelations of their control over anonymous social media accounts.
Additionally, the ongoing issue of gang violence has frustrated SD voters, leading some to shift their support to the Moderates.
Other parties, such as the Left Party and the Green Party, have also seen slight declines, while the Social Democrats continue to consolidate their position as the leading party.
