On June 6th, Sweden celebrates its National Day, commemorating the crowning of Gustav Vasa in 1523 and a significant constitutional law from 1809. The 1809 law, known as the Instrument of Government, replaced the previous autocratic rule with a constitutional framework.
This foundational document was also issued on June 6th.
In Mora, residents marked the day with a parade, with participants like Ros-Marie highlighting its importance.
The current version of the Instrument of Government came into effect in 1974.
