Regions across Sweden are seeing a significant rise in TBE cases, leading to various measures to increase vaccination rates.
Kronoberg is offering free TBE vaccines for children under 18, while Uppsala has lowered the age for free vaccination to one year.
Västmanland has also made TBE vaccines free for children, making it the cheapest region for TBE vaccination.
Despite these efforts, some areas like Kalmar have no plans to offer free vaccines yet.
The Public Health Agency of Sweden is currently evaluating national recommendations for TBE vaccination.
