Sweden is currently facing severe weather conditions, especially in its southeastern regions, where storm-force gusts have been recorded.

The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued a yellow warning due to strong gales that have disrupted daily life, leading to the interruption of football matches and pausing search operations for missing individuals.

Fallen trees are blocking roads, causing significant challenges for the emergency services, and power outages have affected thousands of households in Jönköpings and Kalmar counties.

Additionally, SMHI has extended warnings to the western parts of the country, predicting heavy snowfall and strong northwesterly winds in the mountain areas, advising residents to stay indoors.
