Rain and thunderstorms are sweeping across Sweden, with SMHI issuing warnings for heavy downpours particularly in Norrbotten and Västerbotten.

The storms could bring up to 50mm of rain in a short period, posing risks of flooding and power outages.

While some sunny and warm spells are possible, the coming days are expected to be mostly unstable, especially in central and northern regions.

Götaland and southern areas may see better weather with clouds interspersed with sunshine.

Midsummer celebrations might enjoy relatively stable weather, although northern areas could still face showers.
