A severe snowstorm has wreaked havoc in southern Sweden, particularly affecting the E22 highway, where numerous vehicles, including several trucks, have been stranded.
The chaos began on Friday afternoon as heavy snowfall led to treacherous road conditions, causing long queues and road closures.
Mia Björklund, one of the many affected motorists, found herself stuck for hours without essentials, highlighting the dire situation faced by travelers.
Meanwhile, Robin Tuvestam, another stranded driver, expressed frustration over the prolonged delays, emphasizing the lack of preparedness by the authorities.
The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) issued a yellow warning, and efforts to clear the roads continue, but the disruption is expected to last through the night.
The incident has sparked criticism of the traffic management and raised concerns about future preparedness for such weather events.
