A devastating fire broke out in a multi-family building in Borås on Saturday evening, leaving three people hospitalized.

Among the injured is a woman who suffered severe burns and is currently in a medically induced coma.

She was rescued from a balcony using a ladder.

Two men were also injured, one of whom was carried out on a stretcher, though their conditions remain unclear.

The fire, which started in the hallway, quickly engulfed the entire apartment, leaving it completely destroyed.

While the blaze was contained to one unit, heavy smoke affected the building.

Authorities have launched an arson investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
