A severe traffic accident occurred between a car and a motorcycle near Drottningholm in Ekerö on Tuesday evening.

The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by air ambulance.

The car driver, who was also injured, has been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence and causing bodily harm.

Witnesses intervened as the driver attempted to flee the scene.

Police have seized both vehicles and are conducting an investigation.
