A series of explosions occurred in Malmö and Tjörn in the early hours of Wednesday.

The first explosion occurred on a balcony of a multi-family house in Lindängen, Malmö, blowing out several windows and causing damage to two balconies.

No injuries were reported.

In Tjörn, a powerful explosion destroyed parts of a patio, but no injuries were reported either.

Police initially suspected a connection between the explosions due to the simultaneous timing, but this has since been ruled out.

Investigations are currently underway, with a potential link to local criminal networks being considered.
