Sverigedemokraterna (SD) is facing significant political challenges as both the Moderate Party (M) and the Christian Democrats (KD) have rejected the idea of including SD in a future government.

This development follows dissatisfaction with SD's handling of a recent scandal involving the party's anonymous social media accounts.

Party leader Jimmie Åkesson insists that SD will either be a governing party or in opposition after the 2026 election.
