Sverigedemokraterna (SD) faced a significant decline in their stronghold of Sölvesborg, dropping 2.7 percentage points to 25.9% in recent elections.

This has prompted the local SD leadership to call for a crisis meeting.

Mats Gunnarsson, acting leader for SD in Sölvesborg, attributes the poor performance to a lack of campaigning.

The fall of SD in this area, traditionally loyal, reflects broader struggles, including the impact of social norms and the exposure of fake accounts.

Meanwhile, the Social Democrats emerged as the largest party with 27.4%, and the Moderates made notable gains.
