A restaurant boat moored at Hammarbyslussen in central Stockholm was completely destroyed by a fire during the night.

The fire was reported around 1:14 AM by a passerby, prompting a swift response from the fire department, which deployed multiple units to the scene.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as the boat was empty at the time of the incident.

By morning, most of the vessel was submerged, and authorities are investigating the fire as a suspected arson.

Firefighters faced challenges in extinguishing the flames without causing the boat to sink, as it had developed a significant list.
