Sweden's Education Minister, Mats Persson, received a report from the Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ) investigating academic freedom.
Persson had previously highlighted cancel culture, identity politics, and 'woke' trends as threats to academic freedom.
However, the report revealed that less than one percent of respondents viewed cancel culture as a problem.
Instead, researchers identified political interference and funding systems as major threats.
The findings contradict Persson's stance, causing embarrassment for the minister.
