A recent report reveals that public confidence in healthcare has dipped in 2023, with only about half of the respondents deeming waiting times for hospital visits and treatments as reasonable.
This perception is particularly pronounced among individuals aged 50 to 59. Overall, 61% of participants express significant or moderate trust in their regional health services, a slight decrease from the previous year.
The survey, which gathered opinions from 50,000 people, also indicates regional disparities in trust levels, with the lowest confidence reported in Region Västernorrland (48%) and the highest in Region Jönköpings län (79%).
Despite concerns over waiting times, 84% of respondents believe they have access to the necessary healthcare.
