Pro-Palestinian protests in Malmö have sparked controversy following a recent investigation by the newspaper Sydsvenskan.

The report revealed that demonstrators called for a ceasefire in Gaza in Swedish while simultaneously urging continued conflict in Arabic.

In response to the investigation, around 50 protesters gathered outside the home of reporter Inas Hamdan, who co-authored the piece.

Nabil Abdulmajid, an organizer of the protests, distanced himself from the inflammatory slogans, stating that they do not condone such messages.

In light of these events, Sydsvenskan plans to hold a security meeting to discuss the situation.

Hamdan, who received the prestigious Stora Journalistpriset in 2023, expressed that attempts to silence journalism are unacceptable.
