A professor at Halmstad University in Sweden is facing allegations of racism after two students claimed he made derogatory remarks about Black individuals during a lecture.
The students allege that the professor stated that "Black people are lazy and have lower IQs.
" In response to these accusations, the State's Responsibility Board has filed a report to the Prosecutor's Office, citing reasonable suspicion of hate speech.
The professor denies the allegations, asserting that no complaints were made during course evaluations and that several other students support his claims.
The university has initiated an internal investigation into the matter, while the professor calls for the resignation of the university's rector over the handling of the situation.
The case is now under further investigation by the Prosecutor's Office.
