The Swedish political scene is embroiled in controversy following remarks made by Richard Jomshof, a top figure in the Sweden Democrats (SD), suggesting that Left Party member Daniel Riazat should "move from" Sweden.
The comments, deemed by many as racist, have sparked widespread criticism across the political spectrum, including within Jomshof's own party.
Opposition figures, including Vice Chairman of the Justice Committee Ardalan Shekarabi, have called for Jomshof's resignation, while Left Party leader Nooshi Dadgostar described the attack on Riazat as "unacceptable" and "xenophobic.
" Jomshof, however, has refused to comment further on his statement, focusing instead on Riazat's past actions, which he claims undermine democracy.
