As New Year's Eve approaches, the concern for pets, particularly dogs, becomes increasingly evident.
Many dogs suffer from a fear of fireworks, a phenomenon that affects nearly half of all Swedish pet owners, according to a recent survey.
To combat this, some owners are resorting to taking their pets to the airport before the fireworks begin for a fireworks-free New Year.
In addition, veterinarian Anne Andersson and dog coach Fredrik Steen provide their tips on how to help pets cope with the holiday.
These include avoiding loud noises, creating a 'safe room', and adjusting the pet's daily schedule.
Fredrik Steen also makes a plea to not fire off fireworks before midnight.
