Fredrik Lundgren, infamously known as Nytorgsmannen, has been arrested again on probable grounds for rape, sparking outrage and concern.
Tina Hagström, who played a crucial role in his initial arrest in 2020, expressed her frustration, stating that he should have been imprisoned for life.
Lundgren, previously convicted for multiple sexual offenses, was conditionally released in March 2024. His lawyer, Anna Carlén, argues that the current allegations are vague and criticizes the media's intense coverage.
The case has reignited debates on the justice system's handling of repeat offenders, with some calling for stricter measures to prevent conditional releases.
