Hans Palo, a relatively unknown figure from Juoksengi, Övertorneå, has emerged as the third candidate for the newly formed Folklistan in the upcoming EU elections.
One of his controversial proposals is to allow Sweden to send prisoners to Romania, aiming to leverage the availability of prison spaces in other countries and potentially serve as a deterrent against crime.
Palo, who has a background in local business and politics, including affiliations with the Social Democrats, believes that the EU should prioritize major issues like climate change and defense, while respecting national regulations such as minimum wage laws.
He criticizes the EU parliament for lacking understanding of the needs of northern Sweden.
