The parents of the vinegar-poisoned girl in Skåne remain in custody after the court hearings concluded on Thursday.

Prosecutor Ingegerd Jigin introduced a new motive, suggesting the parents were driven by money to present their daughter as sick to claim financial compensation.

The prosecutor has called for a harsher sentence.

The parents' attorneys argue for the charges to be dismissed and their clients released.
