Sweden's largest environmental crime case has taken a new turn as four individuals, including the former CEO known as the 'Queen of Trash', face fresh charges of economic crimes.
Prosecutor Anders Gustafsson announced that the Think Pink waste management company is now accused of serious bookkeeping fraud, breach of trust, and fraud against creditors.
The charges stem from falsified invoices and personal expenses recorded as business transactions between 2018 and 2020. This economic crime case will be merged with the ongoing environmental crime trial, where eleven people are already charged for improper waste handling across 15 municipalities.
All four defendants in the new case deny the allegations.
