In Gislaved, Sweden, May Day celebrations were disrupted by the neo-Nazi group, the Nordic Resistance Movement (NMR), leading to police intervention.
The group notably disturbed a speech by prominent Social Democrat Annika Strandhäll and was reported to have burned an EU flag in protest.
According to local police, one individual was arrested for assault after a scuffle, with the victim suffering minor injuries.
This incident marks a concerning trend as NMR also attempted to interrupt another May Day speech in Västerås by Social Democrat Anders Ygeman, though with less success.
The disturbances have sparked a debate about the presence and actions of extremist groups at public events.
