NATO has announced a significant military aid package for Ukraine, totaling 40 billion euros (approximately 450 billion Swedish kronor) for the coming year.
The decision was made during the NATO summit in Washington, where Sweden participated as a full member for the first time.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg emphasized the importance of this support in countering Russian aggression.
Meanwhile, Sweden's entry into NATO has been warmly welcomed, with John Kirby, spokesperson for the U.
S. National Security Council, praising Sweden's modern and capable military.
The aid package for Ukraine includes weapons, training for soldiers, and support for the country's defense industry.
