Experts believe the phenomenon is linked to a SpaceX rocket launch from Florida earlier that evening.

According to Erik Stempels, a physicist at Uppsala University, the spiral was likely caused by exhaust gases from the rocket as it slowed down before leaving the atmosphere.

Similar events have been observed in the past, including in Alaska and northern Sweden, often attributed to SpaceX launches.

While some initially speculated about missile tests, experts like Clas Svahn of UFO Sweden confirmed the spiral's characteristic pattern aligns with a successful rocket stage separation.
