In 2024, three workers from Northvolt's battery factory in Skellefteå mysteriously died at home after their shifts.

Despite being in good health, the causes of their deaths remain unexplained.

The deceased include 33-year-old Mahari Bakari, a 19-year-old man, and 59-year-old Per-Håkan Söderström.

The police are now investigating these cases as potential environmental crimes.

Northvolt and Sodexo have also conducted internal investigations but found no evidence linking the deaths to workplace conditions.
