The official investigation into the sinking of the MS Estonia, one of Europe's deadliest maritime disasters, has concluded that there is no evidence to support the theory that sabotage of the ship's bow ramp led to the tragedy.
The Accident Investigation Board, as reported by Sveriges Radio, announced their findings, putting to rest years of speculation and conspiracy theories surrounding the event.
The bow ramp, a crucial piece of evidence, was recovered last July.
This marks the 30th anniversary of the disaster, which occurred on September 28, 1994, claiming the lives of 832 individuals, including 501 Swedes.
The board's report dismisses the long-standing speculation that an explosion might have caused the ship to sink.
