Leif-Ivan Karlsson, a 63-year-old millionaire known for his ventures as an entrepreneur, TV personality, and for profiting substantially from refugee accommodations during the migration crisis, has been arrested at his palatial home in Stockholm.

He faces charges related to a financial crime scheme, including two counts of serious bookkeeping fraud, gross dishonesty towards creditors, and severely complicating bankruptcy proceedings.

The crimes, occurring between 2019 and 2021, were discovered following the bankruptcy of one of Karlsson's companies.

Previously charged with environmental and bookkeeping offenses in the notorious Think Pink scandal, where hazardous waste was improperly disposed of, Karlsson's recent charges are not connected to this case.

The investigation is led by prosecutor Maximillian Berg Molin, with Karlsson's detainment pending a court decision by Friday.
