Over a decade ago, high levels of toxic PFAS chemicals were discovered in the drinking water of Kallinge, Ronneby municipality.
Hundreds of lawsuits were filed against the local water company, Miljöteknik.
Now, Miljöteknik plans to sue the Swedish Armed Forces for the costs if they are required to pay damages to the residents affected by PFAS contamination.
The Armed Forces have refused to pay, despite being identified as the source of the pollution.
The company's board decided unanimously to proceed with the lawsuit.
