A major power outage struck the Swedish island of Gotland on Saturday, affecting nearly 25,000 customers.
The blackout, reported from Fårö in the north to Vamlingbo in the south, was caused by an unplanned technical fault.
Gotlands Energi, the local energy company, initially struggled to identify the cause and began troubleshooting immediately.
Andreas Allestad, a company representative, hoped to resolve the issue within an hour or two.
By 8 PM, power had been restored to almost all affected customers.
The incident impacted about 13,000 out of the total 43,000 customers on the island, highlighting the widespread nature of the outage.
