A major fire erupted in a parking garage in Vårberg, southern Stockholm, shortly after midnight, sending thick smoke billowing into the sky.

Firefighting teams from across Stockholm were dispatched to combat the blaze, which has been described as substantial.

Despite the significant smoke development throughout the building, there have been no reports of injuries.

Police have begun evacuating nearby residents due to the heavy smoke, but as of now, there has been no decision on issuing a VMA (important public announcement).

The cause of the fire, which began with several cars catching alight, is currently under investigation.
