Two companies stand out when it comes to logging unprotected natural forests along the mountain range, according to Ekot's investigation.

Family-owned Persson Invest and forestry giant SCA together account for over one-fifth of all logging in the area in recent years.

The companies claim they do not cut down forests with high natural value.
