The recent fire at Liseberg's Oceana, a popular water park attraction, has resulted in less damage than initially feared, according to a statement from Liseberg.

Despite the uncertainties surrounding the cause of the fire, ongoing technical investigations aim to determine the extent of the damage.

Fortunately, major parts of the facility, including the pool area, basement technical centers, and the lower brick building facing Mölndalsvägen, which houses changing rooms, the entrance, and a restaurant, have sustained minimal or no damage.

The cause of the fire remains unclear, with multiple investigations by insurance companies, contractors, Liseberg, police, and the Accident Investigation Board still underway.

Cleanup and demolition of the affected areas are being carried out by the main contractor, NCC, and will continue for months.
