Multiple forest fires have erupted in Östergötland, Sweden, due to lightning strikes on Saturday afternoon.
The fires, now totaling six, are spread across areas including Åtvidaberg, Söderköping, Valdemarsvik, Kinda, and Norrköping.
Two helicopters are assisting in combating a particularly difficult fire near Albacken, Valdemarsvik, which extends up to 6000 square meters.
Although the fires are of minor extent and currently under control, the frequent lightning increases the risk of additional outbreaks.
Authorities assure there is no immediate threat to the public.
