Lantmäteriet, Sweden's mapping and land registration authority, is under scrutiny following revelations that sensitive defense information was accessible through its online services.
The agency's Director General, Susanne Ås Sivborg, faced the defense committee to explain the situation but left many questions unanswered.
Despite warnings in 2021 and 2023 about the mishandling of classified data, the service remained open for a year before being shut down.
Committee Chairman Peter Hultqvist expressed dissatisfaction with the explanations provided and demanded further clarification, particularly regarding internal audits and security recommendations.
The incident has also drawn attention from Infrastructure Minister Andreas Carlson, who has met with Ås Sivborg to seek additional answers.
The situation remains tense as the committee considers further actions.
